Welcome to the Blacksburg United Methodist Church Website!



On Easter Sunday, the congregation celebrated the completion of payments for the facilities of the Street Children’s Ministry, the St. Luke’s Children’s Center, in Kiev, Ukraine. Blacksburg United Methodist Church gave a total of $296,136.00 for the purchase of the facilities of this ministry and the congregation has given a total of $450,593 to support partner ministries in Kiev. Bishop Hans Vaxby sent the congregation this greeting:

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I want to thank you and Blacksburg UMC for your generosity and faithfulness as partners in mission. Your ongoing support and now the completion of your commitment towards the purchase of the Street Children/Family Center in Kiev is marvelous. And I dare say that you have made a good investment. The center has been a true blessing for several kids and families. The building and the ministry in it and from it make a difference in people’s life.

May God continue to bless your ministry in Blacksburg as well!

The congregation has also given generously to the Haitian relief efforts. We have received gift totaling nearly $60,000.00 to provide aid to our Haitian our sisters and brothers in Haiti. This photo shows the shipment of food in Cange to help feed refugees from the earthquake.





We also have missions outreach to throughout the United States and in our own local community. Look at the link for Blacksburg Estates! Adults, youth and children have the opportunity to deepen in their knowledge of Jesus Christ as we serve together in mission! Come join us as we live into and out of Christian faith!
