We strive to encourage, support, and engage the adults in our congregation to be life-long learners.

Blacksburg United Methodist Church offers a variety of opportunities for adults to engage in Christian education on Sunday mornings! All classes meet from 9:40am to 10:40am. We invite you to visit our classes and find one that fits you! Click the button below for more information.
We believe important conversations with God and with each other change everything about how we live in the world. In addition to worship, home groups are the best way we know to affirm, doubt, laugh, and dream our way toward faith. Home Groups meet at homes in and around Blacksburg during the week. Using the curriculum of our daily lives, Discipleship Groups develop our capacity to encounter and follow Christ in all circumstances. These groups of eight to twelve devote themselves to meeting weekly for the purpose of working with God’s grace. Vulnerability, grace-based acceptance, spiritual practices and mutual accountability provide the framework through which the Spirit transforms us. In our Methodist tradition, some call them covenant groups, others call them class meetings; to us, they are Discipleship Groups.
