College Ministries
Our proximity to and relationship with Virginia Tech places us perfectly to encourage and nurture our many college students.
209 Roanoke St, Blacksburg, VA 24060

VT Wesley is the United Methodist Church's campus ministry at Virginia Tech! Wesley has a wide range of opportunities to get involved, including weekly Wednesday night worship, Foundations, weekly bible study, COGs (Communities of Grace, Wesley's small group ministry), various intramural sports groups, weekly Sunday night free Family Dinner, retreat weekends throughout the year, and a whole lot more.

We've been partnering with Wesley for many years, and love to get students connected there. For more info about Wesley, please reach out to Bret Gresham, the Campus Minister.

Student-Family Adoption Program
All around Blacksburg!

Our Student-Family Adoption ministry, coordinated through the VT Wesley group, has enriched the lives of many students and families through the years. The family provides a "home away from home" by inviting the student(s) to activities like fellowship dinners, a home cooked brunch, or simply a game night with the family! There's nothing better than taking a break from a long night of studying to spend some time with your Blacksburg family. Family and Student registration forms are available in September.

Steve and Betty Bell Scholarship
Maintained through church contributions

The Bell children set up the Steve and Betty Bell Scholarship in honor of their parents, who were active members of Blacksburg United Methodist Church. Applicants must be actively involved with BUMC through membership, attendance while at college, or other similar commitment. Applicants may be incoming freshmen or current students of any post-secondary institution. The Scholarship Fund is supported entirely by contributions; donations are encouraged and appreciated.
