Emergency Response Training

Training is provided for our “Early Response Team” (ERT) members by the Virginia United Methodist Conference.  ER Teams respond in the days immediately after a disaster and provide a caring Christian presence.  Team members with a variety of backgrounds are needed.  Blacksburg UMC participates in the Virginia Conference United Methodist Conference Early Response network, and we are also prepared to respond to disasters in nearby conferences upon invitation.  For more information, contact the church office.
