Congregational Care
In the vision statement of Blacksburg United Methodist Church we state the following:
maintaining intentional connections with each person under our care so that God’s love may be given fuller expression in our life together,
For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. If one member suffers, all suffer together with it; if one member is honored, all rejoice together with it.
I Corinthians 12:12, 26
Congregational Care is one of the ways we are able to do that through our Faith Community Nursing program, the Member Care Committee, the Prayer Shawl Ministry, the Visitation Ministry, taking part in community efforts for our members, and other endeavors.
