Requirements
The preschool accepts children between the ages of three and five years old. Children must be three by September 30th of the year they plan to attend preschool. They must be toilet trained. All immunizations must be up to date and they must have a copy of immunization records that will be kept on file. Parents must present a birth certificate when they are enrolled. BUMP does not discriminate based on race, gender, religion or place of citizenship. Each spring the parents of the enrolled child will be notified concerning the status of their child's enrollment. Currently enrolled students are placed first and others are placed until classes reach capacity. Additional applicant are put on a waiting list. A non-refundable fee of $45 is due when the application form is turned in to the preschool.
Tuition
Tuition is due at the beginning of each month. Checks can be made to Blacksburg Untied Methodist Preschool or B.U.M.P. If a payment cannot be made on time please, contact the director. A $10 late fee is charged if payments are not made by the 10th of the month. A $25 fee is charged for returned checks. If there are any problems with the check, the treasurer will contact the parents. Checks can be placed in the red folder labeled tuition on the director's office door.
Tuition is the same every month, despite absences, breaks or closings. If you withdraw your child from the program before the end of the year, you are still responsible for the tuition payments until your child's spot is filled.
