Youth Ministry Opportunities

If you or your youth are interested in taking part in youth activities, then be sure to read further about the many ways we are gathering this year. Hopefully we’ll see you at one or ALL of these gatherings!

Youth Sunday School: High school and middle school Sunday School classes meet throughout the year from 9:45am to 10:45am. Middle school students meet in the grey house behind the church on the corner of Roanoke St. and Lee St. High school students meet in room 213. Email Darryl with any questions. youthminister@blacksburgumc.org

Relevant: If you are a 6th – 12th grader, be sure to join us Sunday nights in the Whisner Building from 4:30pm to 5:30pm for a worship service designed to be relevant to youth culture. Arrive at 4:30pm for food and to hang out with other youth... stay for live music and a message that will keep you entertained, but more importantly speak to your heart.

Middle School Small Group: Join Darryl on Tuesday nights from 6:30pm to 7:30pm in room 213 for a Bible Study created just for Middle School Students. Each study begins with entertaining games and progresses to deeper look at the message from Relevant on the preceding Sunday. All middle school students are invited and welcome.

High School Small Group: Join Darryl on Wednesday nights from 7:30pm to 8:30pm in room 213 for small group Bible Study intended to aid high school students in their faith journey. Each study breaks down the sermon at Relevant on the preceding Sunday and allows students to correlate God into their everyday lives. All high school students are encouraged to join in!

Girls Ladies Night Out: Come join in with an array of amazing young ladies as we walk and stumble along together to find out what it means to be a young lady after God’s own heart. We will talk about God’s plans for our friendships, our faith, our families, and our futures. This small group meets at 7:30pm on Thursday nights at Darryl and Kristie’s pad.
