Music Minister: Leigh Anne Taylor
If you have the gift of music, there is a place for you to serve God and the congregation at BUMC. Listed below are our established music ensembles which meet to rehearse and lead worship on a regular basis from September through May. Other short term groups such as Senior Adult Choir, Men's Choir, Women's Choir and instrumental ensembles will form as
announced throughout the year.
VOCAL CHOIRS
Cherub Choir
For Children ages 3-5 (pre-kindergarten)
Meets 30 min/ week, Wednesday 5:30-6 p.m. in Room 110, Sept-May
Cherubs may sing in worship up to once a month. Highlights include participating in the Children’s Christmas Musical in December and the May Music Ministry Celebration. Contact director Lynda Bailey at lbailey@vt.edu
Angel Choir
For Children Grades K-2
Meets 30 min/ week, Wednesday 5:30-6 p.m. in Room 107, Sept-May,
Sings for worship once a month Sept-May. Highlights include participating in the Children’s Christmas Musical in December and the May Music Ministry Celebration.

Choristers Choir

Youth Choir
For Youth Grades 6-12
Meets one hour/week, Wednesday 6:20-7:20 in the Choir Room, Sept-May
Youth Choir sings for both traditional worship services once a month, Sept-May with occasional other opportunities to lead worship in other venues. HANDBELL CHOIRS
Choir Chimes for Children
For Children Grades 2-5
Meets 30 min/week, Wednesday 6:45-7:15 p.m. in Room 110, Sept-May

Will begin in 2008
For youth and adults with beginning to intermediate handbell experience.
Meets one hour/week, Sundays 6-7 p.m. in the Choir Room, Sept-April,

Advanced Handbell Choir
For youth and adults of any age with advanced handbell experience.
Meets one hour/week, Sundays 7-8 p.m. in the sanctuary, Sept-April
Rings for both traditional worship services 3-4 times/season. Highlights include ringing in the Christmas and Easter holidays and a handbell festival in the spring.

INSTRUMENTAL
Orchestra
For Youth and Adults of any age with intermediate skill on standard band/orchestra instruments. Meets one hour/week, Sundays 8-9 p.m. in the sanctuary.
Plays for traditional worship services once a month Sept-May.
Highlights include Christmas and Easter holidays. String players especially encouraged!

Intersections Band
For youth and adult instrumentalists and vocalists with intermediate experience on standard “rock” band instruments. Meets once a week for rehearsal all year long. This intergenerational band provides worship leadership on a weekly basis for the Intersections worship service. Contact Bob Rogers at rogers@calvin.math.vt.edu for rehearsal date and time.
DANCE AND DRAMA
Liturgical Dance Ensemble
For youth and adults with basic dance experience. Meets one hour/week, Sundays from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary.
Interprets the word in worship once a month, Sept-May.

Sacred Drama Ensemble
