Orchestra

The BUMC orchestra welcomes youth and adults of any age with intermediate skill on standard band or orchestra instruments. Highlights of our year  include playing for worship once a month, and at Christmas and Easter. Rehearsals are Sundays form 7:30-8:30 p.m. in the sanctuary September to April.  Please contact director Leigh Anne Taylor at music@blacksburgumc.org

Intersections Praise Band

For youth and adults with intermediate experience on instruments and/or vocals in standard “rock” styles.  The band leads the congregation in “Contemporary Christian” praise music each week for the 11:00 am Intersections service and meets each Wednesday at 5:30 pm for rehearsal in the Whisner Building and 10:00 am Sunday morning all year long.  Please contact Robert Rogers at  rogers@vt.edu.
