Church Council

The Church Council

The Church Council is the primary governing body of Blacksburg United Methodist Church. The Church Council at Blacksburg United Methodist Church has traditionally met every other month with meetings in January, March, May, July, September and November. The Church Council generally meets on the fourth Sunday of the month (adjusting a weekend before in the instance of holiday weekends). The Church Council typically meets on the second Sunday of the month in November in order to prepare for Charge Conference and often calls a special meeting in December in order to approve the operating budget for the church in the coming year.
